What people are saying about Galileo Search

“Erica Strahl was excellent to work with. She
was very professional and went out of her way to keep in contact
with me during the waiting process. I could not say enough positive
things about Erica. It is employees like Erica that make an
organization!"

Thanks,
"

"I recently worked with Galileo Search in
considering a new position with
XYZ Healthcare and would like to highly recommend the
services of this professional search firm.
Galileo Search performed professionally, and
responded quickly to questions, concerns, and in negotiations toward
finding the best possible solution for both myself and the firm I
was considering.
As the decision making process progressed, Galileo worked tirelessly
in assessing both my professional wants and needs as well as making
sure that my background was a true fit with
XYZ Healthcare. I was
very pleased with the outcome of the working relationship, and
again, highly recommend working with Galileo Search in any efforts
toward making a professional career change.
Regards,"

"It has been 9 months since you basically
enabled me to step into a new life. I have been thinking it is time
to tell you what all of this has meant to me. I want to thank you
for all of your help, encouragement and guidance as you lead me
through the entire interview process. You were an invaluable
resource during that time.
I will never forget the first time we talked.
Here I was, the Manager of Infection Control in my hospital,
thinking that I still had the administrative support that had
existed in prior years, basically a dream work environment. But
things had changed in my hospital and I had not consciously accepted
those changes. After I bragged to you about the enviable position I
currently was in, you asked me, “Sharon,
if everything is so wonderful, then why are you talking to me?......
Something is missing.”, your insightful comment caused me to
realistically look at my situation and to suddenly realize my job
was not all that wonderful. Your gentle and skillful probing guided
me to the awareness of just how unhappy I was in my present
situation. Once that realization surfaced, you then presented to me
an opportunity that has literally changed my life. Moving to a
corporate situation was something I had never considered before.
But after your encouragement, I began to think that maybe this was
the right path for me.
I have always known I was a people person, but
never truly understood why people related to me as they did. You
told me I was a communicator. This was the first time anyone had
ever told me this. That casual comment on your part has enabled me
to begin to understand my relationships with other people and to
begin to use that skill in a beneficial way in my current position
as an Infection Control Specialist with XYZ Corporation. So a
skill not comprehended before is in the process of becoming a skill
to be improved and utilized.
As I said, you enabled me to have a new life.
My transition from hospital Infection Control to corporate Infection
Control proved much easier than I thought. Perhaps it has to do with
the extremely nice people I work with at XYZ Corporation. The
longer I work for XYZ Corporation, the more respect I have
for this company and for the people I work with. Perhaps it also has
to do with the preparation you did with me.
It truly does seem that everything I have done
in my nursing career, from taking care of post cardiovascular
surgery patients, caring for heart and lung transplant patients to
building two infection control programs from scratch, was a
preparation for this job. In my old job, I remember just being tired
all of the time. No matter how much I did, it was never enough. I
never realized the stress I was under until after I had accepted
this job. One day after turning in my resignation, I suddenly
realized the pressure and all of the stress was gone. What an
incredible feeling that was. With this job, I feel like I have been
on vacation for the past 9 months even though there are days I work
longer than I did at the hospital.
One of the reasons I went into Infection
Control was to be able to make some positive changes for the nurses
and the patients in my hospital. With my second Infection Control
job in
Dallas, I was able to affect some positive changes not only for my
hospital but also for our sister hospital and to some extent, in my
city, because of my involvement with bioterrorism preparedness. With
my job at XYZ Corporation, I now have the opportunity to meet
Infection Control people all over the United States and this has
afforded me the opportunity to help bring some positive changes over
a much wider area, not only in my own state but across the country.
I feel most blessed and humble by this opportunity.
Always being too busy with my own surveillance
at my hospital, I never had the time to get involved with my local
APIC chapter or with our state infection control organization, Texas
Society of Infection Control Practitioners (TSICP). XYZ
Corporation has encouraged my involvement and as a result, I am
now an active Board member of TSICP. I also have had the opportunity
to be a part of the lecture series with the
University of Texas at Tyler, The Center for Pulmonary and
Infectious Disease Control. I am just having a ball, truly enjoying
what I am doing for the first time in a long time. I have been
forever changed just in the short time I have been with
XYZ Corporation. I now think more globally than I ever was
able to when I worked in the hospital.
I want you to know there is the warmest spot in
my heart for you and to say a huge thank you for all of your hard
work in helping me obtain my new job.
Most gratefully and with affection,"

"This has been a long time coming. In
approximately June 2004 I was contacted by Galileo Search about an
Infection Control position with a leading healthcare manufacturer. I
was planning to move to the East Coast from Southern California.
As time progressed my plans changed, but Jim
stayed in touch every couple of months via email or telephone.
After 6 months, the communication continued and
Jim encouraged me to consider this traveling position with a lot of
exposure, support and opportunity for advancement. Jim knew I wanted
to return to school for my Masters Degree and work in a more
challenging but supportive environment. Without ever being pushy
Jim encouraged me to complete my certification in Infection Control
and reconsider this specialist position. It was almost like intuition, the
day I finished my exam and received my results, Jim emailed me and
asked if I had taken the exam, at that point it all clicked.
I began the interview process, which was almost
seamless. Jim called and emailed and walked me through the entire
process, always giving me feedback, encouragement and representing
me to the employer. Jim gave me feedback from other successful
candidates for my first interview, telephone interviews and research
he helped me get all the answers I needed to make an informed
decision.
After one year of communication and two weeks
of interviews, when the good news came it was like I was speaking to
a family member. I could always hear a smile in his voice and on the
day, Jim called to say the Vice President would like to call you
directly, I was ecstatic. I had had other experiences with search
firms, but working with Galileo Search was a very personable
experience.
I would and will recommend other professionals
to Galileo Search. They really took the search and pain out of
finding a new position that was truly right for me.
Respectfully yours,"

"Thank you again for finding a great ICP role and a terrific match
for me so close to my home! I'd never have known about this
splendid opportunity were it not for you. You worked long and hard.
You persisted, supported, advocated, negotiated on my behalf, and
coached me all along the way. I so appreciate your efforts, honesty,
and prudent advice.
You are obviously very dedicated and enthusiastic about your work.
You are so pleasant to work with. I feel like I know you. You
maintain an unending optimism, professionalism, sincerity,
integrity, and a great rapport with your clients! I am glad to have worked
with you and hope we can still chat from time to time.
I feel this new position is a wonderful opportunity!
Many thanks,"
